Oh dear... worse death I have ever had to go through...

Laverne, the 31 year old Pacific White-Sided dolphin at the Vancouver Aquarium has passed away due to a twisted intestine.

Laverne was ill for a month. Trainers spoke to SeaWorld for chances of a few sicknesses. Before any medication to take part, Laverne passed away. Some medication was used, hopefully to get her well again.

Laverne was thought to be the oldest captive dolphin in North America. As she continued to be cared, fighting the sickness, she died in her trainer's arms.

As my favorite dolphin, this death is heart-breaking. I have never seen such a beautiful dolphin like Laverne, and her passing is just like a nightmare...

Rest in peace girl. We'll remember you forever.

It's almost Spring Break, hurray!

I plan to go to the Vancouver Aquarium as much as I can during the following week for Spring Break. I've already planned one day to go with two of my best friends. I might go with a few others as well, hopefully, I'll go at least twice.

Tiqa, Qila's very first calf, was born in June. A new life has came into the Vancouver Aquarium!! 7 months later after the birth, the aquarium now realizes that Aurora is pregnant as well! Aurora is expected to give birth to her third calf on June or July in 2009. Congrats Aurora!

It's a new year and another orca passes on...
This time, it Sharkane from Marineland Antibes. Sharkane passed away on January 3rd (another orca dies in January...) and fought against bacterial infection but never made it...
